§ 80.80. Reconnection of alarm system.

  • Any order to disconnect or deactivate an alarm system may be rescinded by the chief of police upon a finding that the owner of the premises has taken corrective action which has remedied the cause of any false alarm at the premises. In making a request for a rescission, the owner shall have the burden to show that corrective action has been taken and that the corrective action is sufficient to support a finding that the cause of any false alarm has been remedied. The chief of police or his designee shall have the right to inspect and test the alarm system prior to rescinding the order to disconnect or deactivate. The chief of police shall not rescind an order to disconnect or deactivate if the owner has failed to pay any fee charged the owner pursuant to § 80.30 or § 80.40.
