§ 99.70. Public records fees.

  • (A)

    The city clerk is authorized to charge a fee for each of the services set forth in division (B) below.

    (B)

    The services for which the city clerk shall charge a fee and the amount of the fee for each service are as follows:

    (1)

    Copies of public records within the custody of the city shall be provided to any person requesting a copy upon the payment of $0.15 per requested and copied page of not more than eight and one-half inches by 14 inches in size, or the actual cost of duplication of the record for pages exceeding eight and one-half inches by 14 inches in size, plus postage and envelope cost if applicable, except as provided in subdivision (2).

    (2)

    In addition to the per page amount set forth in subdivision (1) herein, the city clerk shall charge a fee for extensive personnel use in honoring a public records request. This fee shall only be charged if the nature or volume of the records requested require the extensive use of personnel. The additional fee to be charged shall be the hourly rate of the employee whose time is consumed in fulfilling the request multiplied by the number of hours consumed.

    (3)

    The city clerk shall charge $1.00 per copy for each certified copy of a public record.
